It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to the City of Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, District 1910, for the international conference “BalkanAct 2017”. This is the 3rd edition of this conference and it will be held from the 26th till the 28th of May.
The first two editions of BalkanAct were very successful and gathered around 300 Rotaractors from the Balkans as well as guests from all around the globe, to the cities of Plovdiv (Bulgaria, 2015.) and Nis (Serbia, 2016.).
Rotaract Club Bijeljina is making an effort to surpass the first two editions of this prestigious event. The main focus of this conference will be on learning new skills and exchanging ideas, along with the opportunity of meeting new friends and colleagues. We would like to welcome in our City of Bijeljina as many young people as possible and introduce them to our people, our habits, culture, our city and our beautiful country.
BalkanAct is also the place where all the clubs from Balkan have a chance to make connections and strong bonds between each other, which can create the basis for the development of further communication, cooperation and successful realization of joint projects.
By engaging actively in all of the workshops and discussions, the participants will be able to recognize the necessity for raising awareness about burning questions and issues, as well as the necessity for promoting better understanding, tolerance and acceptance.
You can choose from different topics for your workshops and lectures, such as Ecology, Culture, Economy, Social projects for the Balkans, Friendship Across the Borders or Marketing. Thus, the participants can attend the ones that they are familiar with or the new ones they want to explore. The main goal for all the participants is to get to know more about these topics, exchange experiences, and together try to achieve significant improvements in these areas through joint projects and actions.
Before the opening ceremony, all the countries represented on the conference will have the opportunity of showcasing their traditions, culture, cuisine, and club activities. You are encouraged to bring some of your characteristic national items such as food, clothes, beverages, emblems, leaflets, city guides, badges, figurines etc. for display or for tasting on your country booth.
Early applications are open until the 1st of May, and the deadline for all applications is the 21st of May. However, if all the conference places are reserved before the deadline, it will also mean that applications are closed. The number of conference places is limited.
After receiving confirmation that your application is accepted, you will be sent an email with payment instructions. After the confirmation, you will have five days to make a payment, or your application will be forfeit. We accept PayPal or direct bank transfer payments.
